Hi there
don't try to understand it, it just IS the way it is.
The worst JW is seen as better than the best fader.
I'm sure most of us have a lot of stories to back that up!

it's been a long time.. well, i guess i'm gonna have to 'cut the cord' with my family.of course, they are all big sinners in jehovah's borganization, as is my husband.
but, i need to get it together and start attending meetings again!.
because he is the hypocrite and i don't tell them everything that goes on in our marriage, his word holds power over mine.

i recently had the opportunity to visit with a former elder who has successfully faded without getting df'd, but he is completely aware of the sham.
he was the main accounts guy for the conventions in his circuit.
he related a very telling story to me the other day that i thought i would share with you.
''This is the first I've heard of this. I'm shocked''.
exactly why threads on stuff considered long ago should be welcomed.
Not all newbies go to search you know...often they might be so blown away like i was 2 years ago that you just dont know what to look for.
so, good thread Momma...

part 3 (which is where the actual meeting begins) is finished.
it took my computer hours and hours to render and upload it!!
anyway, this is what i just posted on my youtube channel:.
What this demonstrates really, is that it is totally a waste of time to defend oneself in an apostasy 'trial'.
Totally futile to convince elders to have compassion or the slightest chance that a point can be made to them.
Far better to go in blazing, drop a big apostate king hit and walk away me thinks...
At the end of the day, all they want to know is if you believe the GB is or is not part of gods channel.
Oz
hypothetical, do you think its possible ?.
Nah...
Jebus and paul probably were real enough nutters. Without any evidence or real idea i hypothesize that Jebus was just another messiah wannabe, paul was a pharisee plant to derail the movement and then the Romans were smart enough to see how they could use it to their own political ends.
And thats why we have 'christianity' in my books!

i've found this topic and subject to be extremely powerful.
this is for those who still believe in god, realize the wt is apostate, and trying to help family.
(meaning i do not wish it to be used on trying to turn people athiest, i respect everyone's choices, i just believe and would hate my help to do what i feel is wrong) it might help fix things, or if you are still wondering how to awaken them without scaring them and being instantly shunned.
Didn't the Watchtower once state that 'pastor russell was directing the work/ organization' post his death???
sure i read something to that effect a while ago...

i went for 2-1/2 years without a truck- my wife told i would never survive without a truck-- i think she is a smart cookie- it was so hard going to garage sales with a small hatchback and not being able to buy that moosehead for my man-cave.. anyway- this is a former comcast cable tv truck- it was repainted and from the looks of the interior, it looks like a supervisor drove it carefully for 237,000 miles - which is a record for me - i got it for $2200- a 2001 ford f-150.
it had an old leaky transmission- which i have just had replaced with a rebuilt one for $950- i am getting 18-19mpg, so i think that v6 will last me for a long time- retirees don't put a lot of miles on their rides-- - and no rust- anywhere!.
.
That looks sweet Moshe!
After i killed my 25 year old tray top 'pick up' 3 weeks ago i bought my very first brand spankin new vehicle, a 'ute' as we call em here, fresh with just 24 km on the odometer.
after years of driving high mileage rust buckets its a joy every time i hop in it!
oh and it is amazing how much you use them once you get em eh?!

i remember way back when, and it was reported in an adelaide newspaper at the time, that a tsunami was predicted to wipe out adelaide and the then state premier don dunstan very famously stood on the end of the glenelg jetty to 'stop it' (to show what rubbish it was).
anyway, looking around wiki i find this snippet:.
one famous demonstration of dunstan's charismatic style and media-savvy came in january 1976. a jehovah's witness soothsayer predicted that due to dunstan and the state's social liberalisationwhich he saw as sinful[121]god would destroy adelaide with a tsunami caused by an earthquake.
Hmmmm
lets go hunting for a MR JOHN NASH...

While i was not like you, toward the end of my time as a JW i was faking it all. I was out of love with my wife, i cared for her but i needed to be my true self and no way was she going to like it.
My confession destroyed her world. The fallout from that time is still falling 14 years later. I do not feel bad for what i caused her, sure i didn't want to hurt her but she also had the right to know and to find a new man to love her the way i didn't.
The life you lead is a result of the decisions you make.
I decided to move on, to rebuild myself, she decided to remain bitter and twisted. That's her journey and i have mine. You CAN decide where you want life to go, you CAN choose to be honest at therapy, you CAN choose to be honest with everybody, you CAN choose to change. You CAN choose to take drugs or not, you CAN choose...........

''It feels good to confess who I really am: a person who doesn't give a fuck and just wants to be left alone and die''
sorry, but you are not confessing anything. We don't exist in any way that can sooth what ails you.
you need to confess to your wife for a start.

oh...and sorry, but god isnt going to kill you. Now, think on that for a while and maybe you will come around to the idea that you best fix your life because you have a lot of years in front of you.

One famous demonstration of Dunstan's charismatic style and media-savvy came in January 1976. A Jehovah's Witness soothsayer predicted that due to Dunstan and the state's social liberalisation—which he saw as sinful [121] —God would destroy Adelaide with a tsunami caused by an earthquake. [121] This was publicised by the media, prompting a not insignificant number of residents to sell their property and leave; some businesses had clearance sales while many who decided to stay indulged in doomsday parties. [121] Dunstan promised to stand on the seashore at Glenelg and wait for the imminent destruction. He did so on 20 January, the day of the predicted storm, and nothing happened, although he made newspaper headlines in the United Kingdom for his defiance. [121]
The [121] is reference to a book published in 2000:

I have never heard that bit...anybody know anything?
